I love materials with a fluid quality such as ink and oil. As liquids, they give me unexpected effects when they land on the paper. I like to use them to express the subtle, unstable states and experiences of my dreams and reality. Like the sociologist Bauman's 'liquid life', material and human beings are in a state of perpetual uncertainty and flux under the powerful capital system. This fluid matter is the perfect medium to represent the reality of the present and the virtual dream world.
